This type of paper requires academic writing and strong argumentation skills. Advance term papers on the other hand, are typically a three to four-paragraph essay that covers the subject in depth, but does not have to contain strong academic arguments.

For those who write on their own, the most important portion of the term paper is the title page. The title page should give students an idea of the length of the assignment and what they will get from the product. Students are often required to write about a topic from a particular perspective. The title page should convey this information to the reader. Examples include essays on literature and history, philosophy, and political science. However, a good introduction will provide detailed information on the main purpose of the paper. It should be written in simple and concise English.

Before you begin writing the term paper, it’s an excellent idea to outline the major points. Once you have an outline, you can revise your introduction and then rewrite the introduction using the ideas mentioned in the outline. Also, do not use paragraphs throughout the term paper. The majority of students are using four to five paragraphs in the average and that’s good enough. However, it’s better for students to use 12 to 24 paragraphs instead of the traditional four to five. Make sure you include proper footnotes at the bottom of each page.
